How to Connect WhatsApp to the Dashboard (QR Code, Pairing Code & WABA)
⚡Mandatory Prerequisites & Initial Checklist
- ✓Administrator access or channel management permissions in Dashboard V2.
- ✓Smartphone with active WhatsApp, internet connectivity and battery above 20%.
- ✓Available instance quota under your subscribed plan (verify in Billing).
- ✓Dedicated phone number for business support or campaigns (avoid personal numbers).
📋Step-by-Step Instructions in Dashboard
Navigate to WhatsApp Channel Management
On the channels screen, view all current instances, their operational status (Connected, Disconnected, Initializing) and your quota usage. Click the top orange '+ New Instance' button to open the setup modal.
Select the Appropriate Pairing Method
Dashboard V2 provides 3 pairing options: 1) Real-time QR Code on screen; 2) 8-digit Pairing Code to type on mobile if camera is broken or remote; 3) Secure Shareable Link ('Share QR') to send to remote branch managers without granting admin credentials.
Execute Pairing on WhatsApp Mobile
Tap 'Link a Device'. If using QR Code, point the phone camera at the screen. If using Pairing Code, tap 'Link with phone number instead', enter the 8-digit code displayed on dashboard and wait for confirmation.
Health Check and Quality Status
Once connected, the card displays a green 'Connected' badge, profile picture and E.164 phone number. On official WABA instances, WabaHealthIndicator shows account quality: Green (Good quality/Full limits), Yellow (Warning/Spam flags) or Red (Blocked/Restricted tier).
🚨Critical Safety Rules & Ban Protection
- 🛡️Warmup Protocol: For fresh SIM cards, never blast mass broadcasts on day one. Follow warmup: Days 1-3 (up to 50 msgs/day inbound/conversational); Days 4-7 (up to 200 msgs); Day 8+ (scale gradually).
- 🛡️Continuous Connectivity: Keep the phone connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and plugged into power to prevent OS battery savers from killing background sessions.
- 🛡️Quality Degradation: If WABA health switches to Yellow, pause outbound marketing campaigns immediately for 72 hours and handle inbound chats only to recover reputation.
❓Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting
P:What if the QR Code expires before scanning?
WhatsApp QR codes expire every 20 seconds for security. Click the circular Refresh icon in the center of the code to generate a new pairing token.
P:Can I connect the same number to two instances?
No. WhatsApp allows only one active web session per phone. Connecting on a second instance automatically terminates the previous one.
P:What happens if mobile internet disconnects?
Incoming messages queue on WhatsApp servers. As soon as the phone reconnects, our sync engine pulls all messages without data loss.
